NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHTS at CAFÉ MAXX“NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHTS”, is our answer to Florida's “Staycation” For those of you who are going to be here for the summer months, relax and enjoy a small slice of luxury right around the corner! Join Darrel & Oliver for dinner, and relax while the summer heats up. This promotion will be offered four nights a week, every Sunday through Wednesday, beginning Sunday, May 30th, through September 30th. Enjoy this summer long promotion featuring an amazing three course summer menu for $30 dollars. Chef Oliver has been working with his purveyors to provide us with the freshest ingredients at their peak of flavor and value. Oliver and staff will be highlighting seasonal favorites from our ever changing menu. The NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHTS menu will be updated monthly.

First Course

Sashimi or tartare of the day, only the freshest

Penne pasta Carbonara, parmesan cream, sweet peas, apple wood bacon, talamaca black pepper

Almond crusted goat cheese truffle, raspberry vinaigrette, haricots verts, greens and endive

Escargot crostini, Pernod garlic butter, cremini mushrooms, asparagus and arugula

Warm Szechuan beef “taco”, Asian vegetable nest and spicy black bean BBQ sauce

Classic Caesar salad with garlic croutons, and parmigiano reggiano

Sesame shrimp tempura with cucumber & green mango slaw, and sesame mustard dipping sauce

Pulled grilled chicken breast quesadilla with ancho BBQ, aged cheddar cheese & two tomato salsa

Chopped mozzarella caprese salad, roasted peppers, pepperocini, olives, red onion, cucumbers with balsamic

Chicken pot stickers, Asian veggies with cabbage and miso-citrus ponzu sauce

 

Main Course

Braised beef bolognese with pasta ribbons & Maytag bleu cheese

Sweet onion crusted snapper, Madeira sauce, seasonal vegetables and gaufrette potatoes

Lobster enchilada, salsa verde, jack cheese, sour cream, scallions, black olive and tomato

Herb & peppercorn pan roasted salmon with summer vegetables and whole grain pilaf

Three pepper crusted petite filet with blue cheese au-gratin, shallot thyme butter & red wine sauce

Mediterranean chicken breast chicken Buccatini pasta with garlic broccolini, sausage, herbs, pine nuts & goat cheese

Lamb chops with pistachio mint crust, roasted vegetables, polenta & balsamic natural sauce

Banana chip & nut crusted grilled mahi-mahi, purple potatoes pineapple salsa & plantain chips

Center cut skirt steak with goat cheese mashed potatoes and crispy onion rings

Dinner with Bruce Neyers at Café Maxx

Bruce Neyers has been the National Sales Manager for Kermit Lynch for decades and this is where I first met Bruce when I was at Café Maxx. I have been a big fan of Kermit Lynch ever since and have been following his handy work as a vintner from day one.
Begun in 1992 by Bruce and Barbara Neyers, Neyers Vineyards produces about 15,000 cases of wine annually. About 25% of our production is Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on our 50-acre, organically farmed Conn Valley ranch. They purchase additional grapes from a select group of growers, among them the Sangiacomo family of the Carneros District, Will Nord of Napa, Cam Thieriot of Sonoma Coast, Lee Hudson of Carneros, Jay and Pam Heminway of Chiles Valley, Rich Pato of Oakley, and the Tofanelli family of Calistoga. Join us as we break bread with Bruce as Chef Oliver Saucy will serve up a special five course menu to compliment the wines. Summertime White Wine Tasting at Cafe Maxx

Ya it's summertime and in South Florida it is easy to mistake summertime with any other time of the year because it is hot out there almost year round. Tonight we have an array of light and crisp whites that will quench your thirst and make you salivate for a second glass. Our line-up this evening will feature unique whites like Albarino, Verdejo, Sancerre, Vermentino, Soave and Vernaccia di SanGimignano (I just like to say that). Chef Oliver Saucy will be sending out a few small courses to accompany the tasting wines. The fee for this event is $35 + tax, for reservations call 954-782-0606.

Spanish Wine Tasting at Cafe Maxx

Jorge Ordonez is one of the top importers of Spanish wine in the United States today. His portfolio of wineries is like a who's who from practically every appellation throughout Spain. Tonight our host Steve Sink from Stacole we will take us on a tour of Spain through Jorge's eyes. Chef Oliver Saucy will be sending out a few small courses to accompany the tasting wines.
